Harriet Harman

Hmm, well could have been worse, Alan Johnson could have won. However given a difference of 0.8% in the result it was very much a close one. Good on Jon Cruddas to come in third he wasn’t that far off in the end. Hopefully Gordon can fit him into a campaigning role for the party in the future.

Given Gordon’s victory speech I’d say John has won the debate within the party. He even pushed Harman ‘leftish’ during the hustings and probably ensured her final victory.
    He’s done the party a service….

It almost feels like spring of 1994 all over again pre-Blair (the year I first joined the party!) – a Scottish Labour Leader talking about OMOV and an english woman Deputy Leader launching a mass membership recruitment drive!

Hi Yosser, I’m assuming you mean Jon? If so, then definitely. We’re talking about issues that we haven’t and should have been years ago.
