Breaking news – Shock Horror, Tory ex sort of returned blogger accuses evil nasty Labour blogger of claiming he did something that he didn’t do

I had a hard time coming up with the title for this post. So many different angles ran through my mind as to how to approach this issue however I’ve settled on a simple list of facts with additional extended explanations for the hard of reading.

Here’s how it started:

Labour Blogger, that’s me, Political Penguin to most people, Gareth Williams to others wrote this post. In it I said exactly these words (note, unlike some bloggers I do not retro-edit my posts, delete or amend them to get me out of trouble, I stand by what I say). Also note that it contains a little bit of swearing which I do on the whole tend not to do on my blog but I thought it justified.

“This is for the miserable little Prick from Prague in the Czech Republic who yesterday had a bash at trying to crack my site. Yes I do know who you are so piss off and don

As someone who works full time for an open source software company, I would love to go into great detail explaining just how ridiculously wrong it is to call someone “cheap” for using free/open source software.

However, I’m sure I’d be wasting my time.

Fair’s fair, Gareth. You did use the phrase ‘the miserable little Prick from Prague’ so it is an easy mistake for Mr Fisher to make when he thought you were referring to him. Although Prague is a big place and Dominic should realise there are probably other miserable little pricks sharing the City with him.

Hey Penguin/ Hi Matthew (the show gets better BTW),

Seems to me that someone tried to be clever, and got hopelessly caught out.

As for the “Cheap F___” line.

I think it was a throwaway insult from someone who knows very little about these things.

    Nice snooping Penguin :) .

Dominic Fisher is a coward, a bully, a cheat, and a master of Rovian projection. And yet Iain Dale seems to think he’s one of the best bloggers around.

Reason #65 why Dale’s book should come with a warning label.

I just noticed today, BTW, that Dale’s book names John Redwood as the #1 blogging MP, but Redwood is a retro-moderator…

    Penguin

This post kept me entertained for ages – though I understood very little of the content!

Hi Mike, always glad to entertain my readers. Don’t worry about not understanding some of the technical elements, it’s quite understandable. Perhaps I should try to elaborate a bit more when I use technical terminology. I sometimes assume that people know what I mean, I’ll try to do more descriptions of the terminology I use in future.
